we had been spending a couple of days in Newcastle and went with the option for eating out / takeaway while we here for evening meals. been reading many review sites about the Sea Palace and to be fair there are a mix of reviews. however we gave it a chance and glad we did. we got a takeaway and took back to where we staying. the food was very good and would highly recommend. there was plenty of others in ordering and picking up collections while we awaited our food. we had chicken satay and beef curry and was on excellent in comparison to same meals in our usual favourite takeaways at home.

I'm up and down from Newcastle all the time and keep threatening to visit here. I decided finally I would pay a visit today with the family. I didn't have high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It's a busy wee place, the phone never stopped and there was a steady flow of people in and out for both dining in and takeaway which was also a good sign. Really glad we went. Highly recommend the smoked chicken, and the Special Teriyaki.
Had a carryout while staying in Newcastle. Ordered ss chicken. Duck in plum sauce. Chicken curry and chicken fried rice. service was fast and came with a complimentary large bag of prawn crackers. Food was piping hot and very tasty. Ordered and served by pleasant staff. Well done sea palace.

Took my mum and dad here for Father's day. Friendly staff, quick service and food was really delicious. Also not very expensive and major bonus you can bring your own wine. Yes the decor remains unchanged since the 90's but who cares it did not change quality of the food.
My friends and I came here the other evening and the restaurant was fully seated and the atmosphere was great! I think the big table was a birthday party and the staff handled it very well! We got our starters very promptly and the waiter was very friendly and attentive! 10/10 food 10/10 service Couldnt fault the meal at all and its BYOB!!
